Juan Garcia Alvarez, PhD
Assistant Professor
Juan Alejandro Garcia Alvarez, PhD, is a senior medical physics resident at the
Medical College of Wisconsin. He will join MCW as faculty in the summer of
2026. Dr. Garcia Alvarez earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Nuclear
Physics at the University of Havana in Cuba and completed his PhD at the
University of Sao Paulo in Brazil. Dr. Garcia Alvarez’s research interests include
online adap琀椀ve radiotherapy, reirradia琀椀on treatment planning, and
radiopharmaceu琀椀cal dosimetry.
Chris琀椀na Sarosiek, PhD
Assistant Professor
Chris琀椀na Sarosiek, PhD is a senior medical physics resident at the Medical
College of Wisconsin who will join MCW as faculty in the summer of 2026. She
received her PhD in Physics from Northern Illinois University, where her
disserta琀椀on focused on proton CT and proton radiography. She subsequently
completed a postdoctoral fellowship in medical physics at the Medical College of
Wisconsin, developing auto-segmenta琀椀on tools for MR-guided adap琀椀ve
radiotherapy. Her interests include image guidance and adap琀椀ve radia琀椀on
therapy.
