A key opera琀椀onal strength of the system is off-isocenter pa琀椀ent setup and alignment performed at the
Siemens CT-on-Rails isocenter, followed by precise robo琀椀c reposi琀椀oning for treatment delivery. The integrated
Siemens Drive CT-on-Rails system provides high-quality volumetric imaging directly within the treatment room,
minimizes pa琀椀ent transport, and supports efficient image-guided workflows, including rapid anatomic
verifica琀椀on immediately prior to treatment. This configura琀椀on establishes a strong founda琀椀on for adap琀椀ve
treatment strategies when clinically indicated.
Looking ahead, the system architecture is future-proofed to support ultra-high dose-rate (FLASH) proton
delivery. FLASH (Frac琀椀ona琀椀on-free Lethal Abla琀椀ve Second-scale High-dose-rate) radiotherapy refers to
the delivery of radia琀椀on at ultra-high dose rates—typically exceeding 40 Gy/s—over very short 琀椀me
scales. The Mevion pla琀昀orm is capable of achieving dose rates well beyond conven琀椀onal clinical delivery, with
